Ranting about race/racism, everytime you do someone gets offended, so be warned, if you get offened Ill break your knees.

So theres that saying about beer/alcohol, that whole "helping white people dance" thing. I think its even in a country song. To me that just seems racist. Not because its somthing that non-whites can do and Im jealous, no, because its offensive! That just throws all the achievements of people like Fred Astaire or that Riverdance guy, Flatley, right out the proverbial window to say that because of some race difference white people in general need somthing to aid them in being as good of dancers as non-whites. For some reason no one else sees it that way though. I think the joke would be riot if white people couldnt dance though. Like that one drunk person at the bar who really cant dance and is trying, thats how us white people would look as a whole, that would be damn funny, especially if your like me and dont mind laughing at yourself. It seems to me though that if that were the case most white people would decry that as racism, they might not announce it because whites being discriminated against isnt politically correct, but they would probably think it. And when I say non-whites dont just think of those people of the more African persuasion, Jesse Jackson might not like it but there are other non-whites out there, and there are other minorities who are discriminated against too. Ah,I dont know, with the way race relations have became so distorted in this age its hard to see whats racist and what isnt, I guess nothing really is in actuality, race really isnt anything at all. I mean people spout race off as science, but really social scientists think common race definitions, or any sort of race definitions in humans, totally lack taxonomic rigour and any sort of validity. Evolutionary scientists maintain that race definitions are imprecise, arbitrary, derived from custom, and that the races observed vary according to the culture examined. Really the only science you can attach to race is somthing more of a family tree approach, so race really just boils down to lineage. Racism is basically telling Sally Jenkins next door you dont like her cause you think her daddys ugly. Pretty petty stuff, but humans sure are weak to it.

I typed this huge thing for my first post, then I realized that I keep deleting my LJ then coming back and saying Im going to reinvent myself and reconnect with people, then I never do. So I guess Its best to just say "hey Im Nick, Im a flake talk to me while you can if you still care". haha. seriously, I hope this time I revolutionize my life I hope I actually talk to some people and actually fix my life. I guess well all see, in the mean time, everyone who reads this who is my friend should post a comment about how your life is, and if you dont, dont worry I wouldnt have time to either.
